Industrial Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client requires a skilled Industrial Process Engineer on a contract basis to assess and enhance manufacturing processes at their Centurion operations. You will focus on identifying inefficiencies, optimizing material flow, and implementing best practices to improve overall production output and quality. This role is crucial for driving specific project-based improvements and requires an individual who can quickly analyze complex systems and propose effective, implementable solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with site operations and engineering teams to achieve tangible results within a defined project timeline.

• Conduct detailed analyses of existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Develop and document new process flows, layouts, and operational procedures.
• Implement process control strategies and recommend technological upgrades where beneficial.
• Collaborate with production staff and management to pilot and roll out process improvements.
• Measure and report on the impact of implemented changes using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical support to resolve production challenges.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with industrial focus.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing support, or operations analysis.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Experience with process simulation and data analysis software.
• Ability to work independently and manage project tasks effectively.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
