Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Chemical Process Engineer to join their established facility in Centurion . This role is crucial for the continuous improvement and operational efficiency of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for analyzing process data, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing solutions to boost productivity and reduce waste within the Gauteng chemical sector. Working closely with the production and engineering teams on-site, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in a hands‑on capacity.

• Monitor and analyze production process performance, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and execute process improvement projects, focusing on efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
• Design and specify modifications to existing process equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with the plant's operations and maintenance departments to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Prepare process documentation, including P&IDs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
• Participate in HAZOP studies and other risk assessment activities to ensure process safety.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical process engineering role.
• Strong practical experience in process troubleshooting and optimization.
• Familiarity with process safety principles and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in process simulation software is a plus.
