About the Role
Our client is seeking an adept Automation and Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Centurion . This role involves the design, development, and implementation of automated systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. You will work on projects that integrate new technologies and optimize existing infrastructure, contributing to a smarter, more efficient operational landscape. This hybrid position offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute effectively to a forward-thinking engineering department.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement automated solutions for manufacturing and operational processes.
- Develop control logic and software for PLCs, SCADA systems, and robotics.
- Integrate new automation technologies with existing plant systems and IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automated systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct feasibility studies and pilot projects for new automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and R&D, on automation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, systems integration, and process control.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA development.
- Experience with robotic systems and motion control.
- Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols and cybersecurity principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote tasks with on-site requirements in Centurion .
