About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Process Development Chemist to join their research and development team in Centurion . This on-site position is crucial for driving innovation in chemical product development and manufacturing. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing chemical synthesis routes, scale-up processes, and analytical methods to ensure product quality and efficiency. This role requires a meticulous approach, strong laboratory skills, and a deep understanding of organic chemistry and process engineering principles.
You will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers to bring new chemical solutions from concept to commercialization, contributing significantly to the company's growth and technological advancement.
- Develop and optimize synthetic routes for new chemical compounds and formulations.
- Execute laboratory-scale experiments and scale-up processes to pilot and production levels.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for product characterization and quality control.
- Conduct stability studies and investigate process deviations to ensure product integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process design, equipment selection, and safety assessments.
- Maintain detailed experimental records and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in synthetic organic chemistry and process development.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and MS.
- Familiarity with process safety principles and hazard analysis.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
