About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior HVAC Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in Centurion . This critical role involves ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort across various facilities. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and facility operations teams to deliver state-of-the-art HVAC solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an expert in thermal sciences to leverage their skills within a forward-thinking organization in the Gauteng region, contributing to sustainable building practices.
Key Responsibilities- Design and specify HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, and distribution networks.
- Conduct detailed load calculations, energy modeling, and system performance analyses.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, cost estimates, and tender documents for HVAC installations.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of HVAC equipment to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC system issues, providing expert technical support.
- Stay abreast of the latest HVAC technologies, energy efficiency standards, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HVAC design and engineering.
- Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) or Professional Technologist (Pr. Tech Eng) registration is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and psychrometrics.
- Proficiency with HVAC design and simulation software (e.g., HAP, Trace 700, Revit MEP).
- Strong project management and client liaison skills.
