About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in automation to join their facility in Centurion. This leadership role is critical in driving the design and implementation of advanced automated systems and machinery that enhance operational efficiency and productivity. You will lead a team of talented engineers, manage projects from inception to completion, and collaborate with various departments to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.

- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of sophisticated automation systems and machinery.

- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance analyses for proposed automation solutions.

- Collaborate with production and R&D teams to identify areas for automation and process improvement.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a focus on automation.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead or supervisory role focused on automation.
- In-depth knowledge of robotics, PLC systems, and control engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE software and simulation tools for automation design.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex automation projects from concept to implementation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
