About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their maintenance and engineering team in Centurion . This position is vital for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all aircraft electronic systems, navigation equipment, and communication devices. You will play a key role in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the complex avionics suites installed on our client's fleet. The successful candidate will be adept at working with sophisticated diagnostic tools and possess a deep understanding of aircraft electrical and electronic systems, contributing to safe and efficient flight operations.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of aircraft avionics systems, including navigation, communication, autopilot, and radar systems.
- Perform routine inspections and functional checks on avionics equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Install, modify, and test new avionics systems and components as required.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, component changes, and test results.
- Work collaboratively with flight crews and other maintenance personnel to quickly resolve avionics-related issues in Centurion .
- Stay current with the latest avionics technologies, tools, and regulatory updates within the aviation industry.
- Possession of a recognized Aircraft Avionics Technician certification or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex avionics systems on various aircraft types.
- Proficiency with avionics test equipment, diagnostic software, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems, digital electronics, and principles of flight systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
