Structural Civil Engineer - Building Design

Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Structural Civil Engineer to join their reputable firm in Centurion . This position is integral to the structural design and integrity of a wide range of building projects, from commercial complexes to residential developments. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, stability, and durability of structures through expert engineering analysis and design.

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building types, including concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other consultants to resolve design issues and ensure project success.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, including South African National Standards (SANS).

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in structural design of buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP
  2000, Prokon) and design tools.
• In-depth knowledge of structural materials, construction techniques, and seismic design principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
