Chemical Process Specialist

Our client is looking for a dedicated Chemical Process Specialist to join their team in Centurion. This hybrid role combines essential on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, allowing for a balanced approach to demanding projects. You will play a key role in optimizing chemical manufacturing processes, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This position requires a hands‑on approach combined with strong analytical capabilities to solve complex engineering challenges.

You will work closely with production teams and R&D departments to implement process improvements and innovative solutions.

• Monitor and analyze plant operations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of chemical processes.
• Implement process control strategies and troubleshoot deviations to maintain product quality and yield.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process upsets and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on equipment upgrades and process modifications.
• Develop and deliver training to plant operators on new procedures and process improvements.
• Contribute to process hazard analyses (PHAs) and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in process control systems and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing principles and safety protocols.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, both in-person and remotely.
