Metallurgical Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join their team in Centurion, contributing to the optimization of mineral processing and metal extraction. You will be involved in process development, troubleshooting, and ensuring the efficient recovery of valuable minerals from ore. This role involves a combination of on-site analysis and remote data interpretation, offering a dynamic work environment. • Develop and optimize metallurgical processes for mineral concentration and metal extraction.
• Conduct laboratory and pilot plant test work to evaluate process performance and new technologies.
• Analyze plant data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical support to the processing plant team.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all metallurgical operations.
• Collaborate with research and development teams on innovative processing solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral processing and metallurgy.
• Proficiency in metallurgical simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of flotation, leaching, and other relevant extraction techniques.
• Experience with process control and optimization in a plant environment.
