Senior Process Engineer - Oil & Gas Operations

Our client, a leading player in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Centurion, Gauteng . This is a critical role focused on optimizing the performance of complex upstream and downstream processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance. • Design, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in Oil & Gas operations.
• Conduct detailed process simulations and analyses using industry-standard software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) to identify optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum throughput.
• Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and project management, to ensure successful project execution and operational excellence.
• Ensure all processes adhere to stringent safety regulations and environmental standards specific to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Prepare technical reports, conduct feasibility studies, and present findings and recommendations to management.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong understanding of upstream and downstream operations.
• Proven experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• In-depth knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles and relevant industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in PFD and P&t and interpretation.
• Experience in the Centurion, Gauteng area is advantageous.
