Senior Game Designer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative Senior Game Designer to contribute to exciting new projects based in their Centurion studio. You will play a crucial role in defining and refining gameplay mechanics, systems, and player experiences that are engaging and memorable. This position requires a deep understanding of player psychology, game theory, and a passion for creating fun, compelling interactive entertainment.

You will work collaboratively with a talented team of artists, engineers, and producers, translating creative concepts into well-documented and implementable game designs, helping to shape the future of their gaming portfolio.

• Design and document core gameplay mechanics, rules, and systems for new game titles.
• Create detailed design specifications, wireframes, and flowcharts for game features.
• Collaborate with level designers, UI/UX designers, and programmers to ensure cohesive implementation of game design.
• Iterate on game mechanics based on play testing feedback, analytics, and team input.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to fostering a positive and productive design culture.

• 5+ years of professional experience in game design, with at least two shipped titles in a senior capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing complex game systems and balancing mechanics.
• Proficiency in game design documentation tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of player engagement, retention, and monetization strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
