Finance Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established company operating within the B-BBEE consulting, skills development, and SETA-accredited training environment.

The organisation supports clients with Corporate Governance and Compliance solutions and continues to grow within a regulated and compliance-driven sector. They are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring strong governance, statutory compliance, and strategic financial support to leadership.

This is a senior role reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Duties & Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting

• Full finance function across multiple legal entities
• Monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis
• Preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned to operational targets
• Oversight of general ledger, journals, accruals, and reconciliations

Compliance & Statutory Reporting

• Ensure compliance with SARS requirements including VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax
• Compliance with Companies Act and CIPC requirements
• Application of IFRS for SMEs
• Maintain sound financial controls and governance
• Oversee revenue recognition for training programmes and cost allocations
• Financial oversight of learnership funding and SETA-related projects

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Cash flow management across entities
• Supplier management, payments, and creditor controls
• Debtors management, invoicing, and collections
• Banking relationships and payment platforms

Team & Systems Management

• Leadership and mentorship of finance staff
• Optimise and maintain accounting systems including Xero, Join, and Payspace
• Implement and improve financial policies and internal controls

Qualifications & Requirements

• BCom Accounting or Financial Management (essential)
• Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA, or similar advantageous
• 5–8+ years finance experience
• Minimum 3 years in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and SARS tax compliance
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
• Exposure to SETA funding models or B-BBEE consulting advantageous
