About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Credit Risk Manager to oversee and enhance their credit risk management framework in Centurion . This critical role involves assessing and mitigating credit exposures, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of risk professionals, providing essential guidance and oversight to maintain the institution's financial stability and asset quality. Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain robust credit risk policies, procedures, and models.
- Monitor and analyze the credit quality of the loan portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of adverse economic conditions on the portfolio.
- Manage and mentor the credit risk team, providing guidance on risk assessment and portfolio management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies related to credit risk.
- Report on credit risk exposures and portfolio performance to senior management and the board of directors.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit risk management within the financial services industry, preferably in banking .
- Strong knowledge of credit risk modeling, portfolio management techniques, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel Accords).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in risk management software and data analysis tools.
