Senior Payment Officer

An established and fast-paced organisation is looking for a Senior Payments Officer to join its Finance team in Centurion. Reporting to the Finance Executive, you’ll play a critical role in managing corporate payments, maintaining beneficiary information and ensuring that all domestic and international transactions are processed accurately, securely and within strict banking deadlines.

• Maintain and securely manage corporate beneficiary profiles across online banking platforms
• Verify banking details against authorised records to prevent errors and payment fraud
• Process domestic EFTs, inter-account transfers and international Forex payments
• Review and audit payment packs for accuracy, authorisation and supporting documentation
• Investigate and resolve payment, invoice and documentation discrepancies
• Monitor daily bank balances and report cash positions
• Ensure operational accounts are adequately funded for scheduled payments
• Monitor and process scheduled loan repayments
• Maintain and enforce strong payment workflow and internal controls

• Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Finance
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate payments
• Foreign payment experience
• Sage ERP or similar accounting system experience
