Tax Accountant

Our client in Centurion is seeking a dedicated Tax Accountant to join their established finance team. This role is integral to ensuring the company's compliance with all tax legislation, optimizing tax strategies, and managing tax-related risks. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting various tax returns, providing expert advice on tax matters, and staying abreast of changes in tax law.

The position requires a meticulous individual who can effectively navigate the complexities of corporate taxation within South Africa and contribute to the company's financial health.

• Prepare and file all corporate tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and other statutory tax filings.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance and identify potential tax planning opportunities.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries and manage tax audits effectively.
• Advise management on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure best practices are followed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field; a professional tax qualification (e.g., Masters in Tax) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in corporate tax accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax legislation , including corporate tax, VAT, and PAYE.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement.
