Job Requirements Role RequirementsTo be considered for a role in Molecular Genetics at Ampath, you must hold a BSc Honours degree with HPCSA registration as a Medical Scientist in Genetics/Human Genetics or Molecular Biology. These qualifications ensure you are equipped to uphold the standards of scientific integrity and innovation that define Ampath’s reputation. You bring between 0 - 3 years' experience working in a Molecular or NGS laboratory environment, where you have honed your technical capabilities and developed a deep understanding of diagnostic workflows.
Your experience enables you to contribute meaningfully from day one.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and are confident using computer technology to support laboratory operations. Your numerical reasoning skills enable you to perform calculations with precision, supporting the integrity of diagnostic results. These skills, combined with your scientific expertise, make you a valuable contributor to a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

You are instrumental in processing and analysing specimens, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results that support patient care.
