Position: Junior Developer & IT Support Technician (Gauteng )

ANEW Hotels & Resorts is looking for a Junior Developer & IT Support Technician to join the IT team. This is a junior / entry-level position designed for candidates who are starting their careers in software development, IT infrastructure, and technical support
.

The successful candidate will assist with the development and maintenance of internal tools, websites, and system integrations while also supporting day-to-day IT service desk operations across the organisation.

This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with enterprise systems, networking infrastructure, cloud services, and software development projects within the hospitality industry.

The candidate will work under the guidance of senior team members while developing their technical and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be based in Gauteng, Centurion.

Key Responsibilities Software Development & Automation (Junior Support Role)
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of internal web applications and tools.
  • Support the creation of automation scripts and integrations between business systems.
  • Assist with debugging, testing, and improving existing applications.
  • Write basic, well-structured code under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist with API integrations and data automation.
  • Maintain code using version control systems such as Git.
Website & Digital Platform Support
  • Assist with maintaining company websites and landing pages.
  • Implement small updates and improvements under supervision.
  • Ensure websites remain responsive and functional across devices.
  • Assist with content updates and CMS maintenance.
IT Service Desk Support

Provide first-line IT support to staff across ANEW Hotels & Resorts.

  • Troubleshooting basic software, and connectivity issues
  • Setting up new user accounts, devices, and system access
  • Assisting with onboarding and offboarding of staff
  • Managing and responding to service desk support tickets
  • Providing remote and occasional on-site support to hotel properties
Network & Infrastructure Support

Assist senior IT staff with maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure including:

  • Mikro Tik routers
  • Aruba networking equipment
  • Ubiquiti Uni Fi wireless networks
Microsoft 365 Administration Support

Assist with the administration and support of Microsoft 365 services, including:

  • Microsoft 365 user accounts and licensing
  • Exchange Online email support
  • Microsoft Teams support
  • SharePoint and One Drive access
  • Password resets and authentication issues
Documentation
  • Assist in maintaining technical documentation.
  • Document troubleshooting processes and solutions.
  • Help maintain internal IT knowledge base articles.
Required Qualifications Education
  • Diploma or Degree in:
    Computer Science
    , Software Development
    , Information Technology
  • Relevant certifications or practical experience in IT support or development.
Required Technical Skills (Junior Level)
Basic understanding of Development
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Java Script
  • Python, Node.js, or similar scripting language
  • Basic database concepts
  • REST APIs
  • Git or version control
IT Support
  • Windows operating systems
  • Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Hardware troubleshooting
  • General desktop support
Advantageous Skills (Not required but beneficial)
  • Exposure to Mikro Tik, Aruba, or Uni Fi networking
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Basic scripting or automation knowledge
  • Experience with website CMS platforms
  • Understanding of cloud services
  • Interest in system integrations or Dev Ops
