The purpose of the role

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Internal policies, procedures and processes
  • Familiarization, adherence and compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Familiarization, adherence and compliance with all applicable ISO 9000 processes and procedures
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Preventative maintenance actions are initiated in accordance with policies and procedures, or Maintenance actions are initiated by a fault incident.
  • Determine the nature of the maintenance in accordance with the incident/schedule.
  • Consult the relevant work instructions/procedures to determine the maintenance actions required.
  • Complete the preventative maintenance in accordance with procedures or identify the faults utilizing the relevant diagnostics.
  • Repair faults in accordance with standards and specifications or follow prescribed escalation path for a solution.
  • Test the solution to ensure functionality.
  • Implement the solution in accordance with procedures and monitor the solution for functionality on the site.
  • Provide feedback to the relevant role players.
  • Document results for future reference purposes.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance within allocated time frames.
  • Executing QA on network designs and network installations
  • Responsible to ensure quality assurance on all network designs and installations conducted. Complete High-Level and Low-Level Network Designs as and when requested.
Self-Development
  • Customer and Product knowledge.
  • Be proficient in presentation skills, planning and execution of networking tasks and activities.
  • Prepare training and development plans for yourself, bearing in mind your weakness, career and objectives.
  • Responsible for self-development by keeping abreast of new developments within the industry related to area of your responsibility.
Governance, Compliance and Risk Management
  • Corporate governance is the practices and principles that guide a business and ensures its accountability to its stakeholders.
  • Ensure you conduct yourself in a legal and ethical manner while meeting the customers business goals.
  • Identifying compliance issues ensuring written and verbal policies and regulations are kept in check.
  • Risk management strategies and processes:
    Support Management to identify and analyse the risk which could have an impact of loss to the organisation, customers, employees, suppliers and the public.
  • Any ad-hoc functions required to perform from Management from time to time
Desired Experience & Qualification ROLE SPECIFICATIONS Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
Professional / Tertiary
  • CCNP/ CCIE required.
  • IT related degree or diploma (or equivalent NQF
    5) will be advantageous
  • TOGAF & ITIL certification will be advantageous.
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid and active Cisco CCNP/CCIE Certifications
  • 3 years’ experience in Cisco Products
  • Handle all the daily operations and procedures relating to client.
  • Run and always reinforce the alignment of all initiatives to the company goals, values, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop inventive solutions to improve customer experience.
  • Ensure that all the client service requests are resolved.
  • Escalation and fault management.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organizational standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure management of metrics and SLA’s.
  • Assist with Incident Management (internally).
  • Change/Problem Management and Major Incident Management.
  • Build and maintain trusted, profitable relationships with key customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints swiftly and efficiently.
  • Ensure day to day operations and project delivery.
  • Provide Escalation Engineering assistance.
  • Work Closely with Account Manager regarding current and new solution designs.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels of the organisation.
  • The ability to apply principles of sound business English in verbal and written communication.
  • The ability to elicit requirements, interpret information and take it into account when taking action or to act in a sensible manner.
  • The ability to accurately give an account of information pertaining to the performance of outputs.
  • The inclination to act analytical by applying analytical skills in resolving networking outages.
  • May be required to work overtime within a 24/7 customer SLA environment.
  • All tasks and responsibilities as specified by the company procedures and policies references, including references to all staff and generic terms such as Executive Management.
  • Must have own transport with valid license.
