Disruptive IT is currently recruiting a Senior Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist for an exciting contract opportunity with a leading enterprise client based in Centurion.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week onsite, with the possibility of moving to full-time onsite depending on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Software Asset Management (SAM) activities across multiple software publishers.
  • Manage software licensing compliance, optimisation and governance.
  • Conduct software licence reviews and support internal and external audits.
  • Analyse licensing metrics and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Manage software vendor onboarding and ongoing licence compliance.
  • Provide guidance on Cloud and On-Premises licensing models.
  • Produce detailed licensing and compliance reports for management.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure effective software asset governance.
  • Recommend and implement SAM best practices and process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Software Asset Management (SAM) role.
  • Strong experience with at least three of the following software publishers:
    Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Red Hat, VMware, Autodesk, Citrix, SAP.
  • Proven experience managing complex software licensing environments.
  • Experience conducting or supporting software licence audits.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud and On-Premises licensing models.
  • Experience onboarding and managing software vendors.
  • Hands‑on experience with one or more of the following SAM platforms:
    Snow Software, Xensam, Service Now.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
Mandatory Requirements
  • South African .
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced enterprise environment.
  • Hybrid (3 days onsite per week).
