Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and strategic Information Security Consultant to join their established team in Centurion . In this role, you will be instrumental in assessing, designing, and implementing comprehensive security strategies for the organization. You will work closely with various departments to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory requirements. This position requires a deep understanding of current threat landscapes and the ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable business solutions.

You will be a key advisor, helping to shape the security posture of the company and protect its valuable data assets in a fast-paced corporate environment.

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and gap analyses of existing systems and processes.
• Develop and recommend security frameworks, policies, and procedures tailored to organizational needs.
• Advise on the implementation of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption solutions.
• Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans and business continuity strategies.
• Provide expert guidance on data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
• Educate and train staff on security best practices and awareness programs.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in information security, consulting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management methodologies, and compliance standards (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Experience with security architecture design and implementation.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant certifications such as CISM, CRISC, or CISSP are highly preferred.
