About the Role

Our client seeks an accomplished Lead Information Security Engineer to spearhead their security engineering initiatives from Centurion . This senior position demands a strategic thinker with extensive technical expertise to design, build, and maintain a resilient security architecture. You will lead a team of security professionals, drive the implementation of advanced security technologies, and play a key role in shaping the company's overall cybersecurity strategy.

This is a leadership role for a proactive individual aiming to make a significant impact on enterprise-level security defenses and mentor emerging talent.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and robust information security solutions.
• Oversee the implementation and management of security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Develop and execute security architecture reviews and threat modeling exercises.
• Manage and mentor a team of security engineers, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Respond to and manage complex security incidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending preventive measures.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering , with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and application security.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell) for automation of security tasks.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance regulations, and risk management principles.
