Senior Scrum Master Job Centurion area,South Africa,IT/Tech

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to drive Agile delivery, strengthen team collaboration and promote continuous improvement within a complex technology environment.

The successful candidate will provide servant leadership, coach Agile teams and stakeholders, improve delivery effectiveness, and support the adoption of data-driven insights, automation and AI-enabled ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, Retrospectives and PI Planning.
Coach Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects and delivery teams on backlog management, prioritisation, estimation and readiness.
Promote Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and Lean-Agile principles to improve team performance and delivery outcomes.
Identify and remove impediments, manage dependencies, and escalation organisational blockers and delivery risks.
Monitor Agile metrics to improve delivery flow, predictability, quality, capacity and team effectiveness.
Support sprint goals and Program Increment (PI) objectives through effective planning and delivery tracking.
Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional, distributed and hybrid teams.
Promote servant leadership, accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
Coordinate inter-team dependencies and participate in Scrum of Scrums (SoS) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
Encourage the use of automation, AI-assisted tools and data-driven insights to enhance delivery outcomes.
Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
Minimum 8 years' experience as a Scrum Master or in a related Agile delivery role.
Proven experience leading Agile teams in complex digital transformation environments.
Strong practical experience with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and Lean-Agile principles.
Experience using Agile delivery metrics and empirical data to drive continuous improvement.
Experience working with distributed, hybrid and cross-functional teams.
Good understanding of software development life cycles, technical delivery practices, risks and dependencies.
Proficiency in Jira, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Miro, Lucidchart or similar collaboration tools.
Technical understanding of APIs, integrations, software architecture and modern software development practices.
An interest in AI-enabled engineering, automation and emerging technology practices.
Strong leadership, coaching, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
