Project Manager – Enterprise Resource Planning; ERP) Implementation

Our client, a leading enterprise in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a critical Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation. This high-impact role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from vendor selection and system design to deployment, user training, and post-implementation support. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of the new ERP system across various business functions, driving efficiency and improving data accuracy.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ERP systems, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects in a corporate environment. This is a key role in optimizing our client's operational backbone in Centurion, Gauteng.

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of the ERP implementation project.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key business stakeholders and IT leadership.
• Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Manage cross-functional project teams, including internal staff, external consultants, and vendor resources.
• Oversee the selection and management of ERP software vendors and implementation partners.
• Facilitate business process re-engineering activities related to the ERP implementation.
• Manage project risks, issues, and change requests, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive change management and user training strategy.
• Ensure the ERP system is configured, tested, and deployed according to business requirements and technical specifications.
• Monitor project performance, providing regular status updates and reports to executive leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to ERP implementation projects (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Proven experience managing full-cycle ERP implementations from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of core business processes (e.g., finance, supply chain, HR, manufacturing).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and ERP implementation methodologies.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across different departments.
• Experience with change management principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
