About the Role Our client, a leading software development company in Centurion, Gauteng , is seeking a talented and motivated Dev Ops Engineer with a specialization in CI/CD pipelines. This role is critical for streamlining our development and deployment processes, ensuring faster, more reliable releases of our software products. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our CI/CD infrastructure, automating build, test, and deployment pipelines, and implementing robust monitoring and alerting systems.

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for various applications and services.
• Automate build, testing, and deployment processes using scripting and CI/CD tools.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for automated provisioning and configuration management.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure application health and performance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve deployment and infrastructure issues.
• Ensure the security and reliability of the CI/CD infrastructure.
• Optimize deployment strategies and pipelines for speed and efficiency.
• Manage version control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies.
• Stay up-to‑date with the latest Dev Ops tools and practices.
• Contribute to the adoption of Dev Ops culture and best practices across the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or in a similar role focused on CI/CD.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Power Shell.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
