Product Specialist

Responsibilities

Provide advice to Customer Service Management and workshops on technical problems or issues.

Carry out specialised in-field fault elimination processes and repairs when required.

Coordinate any required in-field tests and track results.

Compile detailed technical reports when required.

Liaise with technical departments at MAN Germany with regards to solutions for in-field problems.

Assist CSM staff & where necessary, liaise with relevant departments on technical matters of concern.

Compile technical bulletins for MAN and VW.

Issue campaign notices, both local and from MTB SE.

Manage the SSD system.

Ensure that AFI’s are completed for field defects.

Provide MANCATS 3 support and assist with repairs.

Provide technical and dealer support for MAN vehicles, electrical issues and problems.

• Grade: 12 Matric Certificate.
• N3 and possess a Diesel Mechanic trade test certificate.

• Customer focused (Internal and External).
• Must be results and process orientated, be proactive and team orientated.
• Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills.
• Business and technical report writing together with strong presentation skills.
• Work independently though being a team player.
• Time Management Skills.
• Work accurately under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work with little supervision.
• Analytical and strategic skills to identify problems thereafter solve them.
• Computer Literate.

• Experience as a qualified artisan - 5 years.
