IFRC is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, together with its member National Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). IFRC is led by its Secretary General, and its Headquarters is in Geneva, Switzerland. The Headquarters is organized into four main Divisions:

IFRC has five regional offices and country delegations worldwide. IFRC maintains a zero‑tolerance policy on conduct that is incompatible with its mission, including sexual exploitation and abuse, harassment, abuse of authority, discrimination, and lack of integrity.

To deliver driving and administrative support to the Cluster in facilitating the smooth onboarding of the new HoD, while also providing occasional operational assistance to the Cluster under the overall supervision of the Senior Protocol and Logistics Officer.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Safely drive Federation fleet vehicles for transport of passengers and cargo as instructed and ensure that all occupants wear safety belts.
- Ensure proper use and security of assigned Federation vehicles and equipment; keep vehicles cleaned, refueled, and in operational condition.
- Make correct entries into the log book and maintain records of spare keys, repairs, equipment (e.g., radios, antennae) and fuel intakes.
- Perform daily inspections of assigned or other vehicles and report to the supervisor.
- Understand and obey all applicable traffic signs, rules, and regulations.
- Make any necessary repairs for efficient operation of the vehicles, including changing tyres, oils, batteries, etc.
- Advise supervisor of needed maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Carry out pre‑repairs and post‑repairs inspection.
- Follow up on monthly service repairs and generate reports.
- Perform other technical duties as assigned.
- Secondary level education; preferred tertiary education.
- Valid South African driving licence and valid certificate of good conduct.
- Public Drivers' Permit.
- Minimum five years of working experience in a similar position.
- Experience with international organisations, NGOs or embassies is highly desirable.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Mechanical knowledge; training in first aid or security is an advantage.
- Broad understanding of Red Cross/Red Crescent activities.
