Operations Manager

Duties /

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across warehousing, procurement, production coordination, and logistics.
• Manage stock control, receiving, storage, dispatch, and operational planning.
• Coordinate purchasing activities and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Oversee production scheduling to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met.
• Manage logistics partners and improve delivery performance.
• Monitor operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
• Drive efficiency improvements through better processes, systems, and teamwork.
• Maintain high standards around safety, compliance, equipment, and workplace organisation.
• Support business growth by partnering with leadership on operational strategies.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in operations, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, production, supply chain, or a related environment.
• Proven experience managing teams and coordinating daily operational activities.
• A track record of achievements that demonstrate initiative, improvement, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to show where previous actions created measurable improvements or added value.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans is required.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or distribution will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of inventory systems, safety standards, and operational processes is beneficial.

Education

• Matric (Grade 12) required.
• A qualification in operations, logistics, supply chain, business management, or a related field will be advantageous.

Salary The proposed salary for the role is R30k - R35k per month - the final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and skills.
