About the Role
Our client, a prominent name in the FMCG industry , is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Supply Chain Manager to oversee their complex operations in Centurion . This critical role involves managing the end-to-end supply chain, from procurement and logistics to inventory management and distribution, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products. You will play a key role in optimizing processes, driving innovation in supply chain practices, and contributing to the company's overall success in a demanding market.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution.
- Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance service levels.
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and ensure the reliable supply of raw materials and finished goods.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on the FMCG sector .
- Proven experience in developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
