Our client in the Automotive Manufacturing industry is seeking to employ a Group Parts Logistics Supervisor to join their team based in Centurion.

Exciting Opportunity:
Join a leading automotive organisation and take responsibility for the end-to-end urgent parts logistics function. This role will focus on ensuring the fast, cost-effective sourcing, replenishment, and availability of critical parts and accessories from local and international suppliers.

Requirements:

Diploma in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a relevant business qualification
B.Com Supply Chain, CPIM, Diploma in Logistics, or similar qualification will be advantageous
4–5 years’ experience in inventory management, purchasing, supply chain, or related logistics functions
Experience with in a manufacturing or automotive environment is essential
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and VDA standards
Understanding of procurement governance and compliance procedures
Experience with inventory management, sourcing, import logistics, and manufacturing lead times
Experience managing suppliers and freight forwarders
Advanced proficiency in SAP, IDIS, or equivalent systems
Strong MS Office skills
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
Self-driven, organised, methodical, and able to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills at all organisational levels
Confident and assertive when dealing with suppliers, service providers, and logistics partners
Strong customer-service orientation with professional telephone and email etiquette
Ability to interpret raw data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions

Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end urgent parts logistics function
Monitor inventory performance, demand, and backorders
Optimise stock levels and ensure service-level targets are achieved
Manage sourcing and replenishment of critical parts and accessories
Coordinate parts availability from local and international suppliers
Analyse and manage airfreight costs to improve cost efficiency
Manage excess and obsolete inventory
Coordinate supplier claims and follow up on corrective actions
Produce inventory, demand, service-level, and performance reports
Analyse operational data and provide insights to support business decision-making
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and VDA standards
Participate in internal and external audits
Drive continuous process and operational improvements
Lead, coach, develop, and performance-manage a team of Analysts
Build effective relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, service providers, and internal stakeholders
Ensure operational excellence and achievement of business objectives
Identify potential supply and logistics risks and implement appropriate corrective actions
