About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Industrial Engineer to join their established team in Centurion . This entry-level position is focused on supporting the optimization of the company's supply chain and logistics operations. You will work closely with senior engineers to analyze current logistics networks, identify inefficiencies, and assist in the design and implementation of solutions. This role provides an excellent foundation for a career in industrial engineering, offering hands-on experience in a challenging and dynamic industry.
The position requires a dedicated individual eager to learn and contribute to tangible improvements within our client's operations.
- Assist in analyzing supply chain data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Support the development and implementation of optimized warehouse layouts and material flow strategies.
- Conduct site visits and data collection to understand operational challenges in logistics and distribution.
- Help in developing standard operating procedures for warehouse and transportation activities.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project progress and operational issues.
- Learn and apply principles of inventory management and logistics optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Internship or 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
- Basic understanding of Lean principles and process improvement tools.
- Familiarity with ERP or WMS systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
