Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at facilities in and around Centurion. You will lead a team of technicians, ensuring all equipment and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing operational disruptions. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, excellent diagnostic skills, and a thorough understanding of preventive and reactive maintenance strategies within the Installation & Maintenance domain.

You will be instrumental in optimizing maintenance schedules, managing resources effectively, and ensuring the safety and compliance of all maintenance activities.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs for all plant machinery and facility systems.
• Oversee reactive maintenance efforts, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of equipment failures and breakdowns.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and controlling costs.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to maintenance operations.

• Significant experience in a maintenance role, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and control maintenance-related expenses effectively.
• Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., mechanical, electrical) is highly desirable.
