Lead Project Manager - Urban Renewal Initiatives

Our client, a leading urban development consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced Lead Project Manager to spearhead transformative urban renewal projects in Centurion . • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major urban renewal and infrastructure development projects within Centurion .
• Manage all project phases, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
• Coordinate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including municipal authorities, developers, architects, engineers, and community organizations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and financial forecasts.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential challenges to ensure smooth project progression.
• Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation, and management of consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant urban planning regulations, environmental laws, and public safety standards.
• Champion sustainable development practices and innovative solutions throughout project life cycles.
• Monitor project performance, conducting regular reviews and generating comprehensive progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication channels among all project participants, fostering a collaborative project environment.

• Master's degree in Urban Planning, Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in managing large-scale urban development or infrastructure projects.
• Strong track record in leading complex projects involving multiple public and private sector stakeholders.
• Expertise in urban planning policies, zoning regulations, and environmental impact assessments.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and financial modeling.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage significant budgets and control project costs effectively.
• Experience working within the Gauteng region or similar urban environments is highly desirable.
