About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to enhance their production systems and operational efficiency in Centurion . This role is critical for streamlining manufacturing processes, improving throughput, and reducing operational costs. You will work closely with production teams to analyze current operations, identify areas of inefficiency, and implement practical, data-driven solutions. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to drive positive change within a structured industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing production lines and operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement optimized layouts for machinery, workstations, and material flow to maximize efficiency.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in production.
- Conduct time studies and work measurement to establish performance standards and identify opportunities for increased productivity.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production departments on new product introductions and process modifications.
- Monitor production performance against established metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in process mapping , time and motion studies, and layout design.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams on the factory floor.
