About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Manufacturing Industrial Engineer to join our client's innovative team based in Centurion. This role is designed for a professional who is passionate about driving operational excellence and efficiency within a manufacturing context. You will be responsible for analyzing current production methods, implementing data-driven improvements, and ensuring that all manufacturing processes are optimized for quality, cost-effectiveness, and speed.
This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Evaluate and redesign manufacturing layouts and workflows for optimal space utilization and material flow.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production processes.
- Lead projects focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and cycle time reduction.
- Utilize data analytics and statistical methods to identify trends and opportunities for process enhancement.
- Provide technical expertise and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies within the manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
