Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer

Our client is looking for a proactive Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to optimize production processes and enhance operational efficiency at their facility in Centurion . This role is central to improving manufacturing throughput, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest quality of manufactured goods. You will be responsible for the mechanical aspects of the production line, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing process improvements.

The successful candidate will possess a strong practical understanding of manufacturing environments and a commitment to driving operational excellence.

• Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions for production machinery.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operation and resolve technical challenges.
• Design and implement modifications to existing equipment or tooling to improve performance.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery and automation systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively on the shop floor in Centurion .
