About the Role
Our client is seeking an energetic and proactive Community Outreach Specialist to join their team in Centurion . In this crucial on-site role, you will be responsible for building bridges between our organization and the communities we serve, raising awareness about our programs and services, and fostering strong relationships with local residents and stakeholders. You will be the face of our organization in the community, actively engaging with diverse groups to understand their needs and connect them with appropriate support.
This position requires someone passionate about community engagement and skilled in grassroots outreach initiatives, working within a dedicated local team.
- Plan, organize, and execute community outreach events and activities to promote organizational services.
- Develop and distribute informational materials, flyers, and newsletters to target communities.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and residents.
- Identify community needs and provide feedback to the organization to inform program development.
- Represent the organization at community forums, meetings, and local events.
- Recruit participants for programs and services through effective outreach strategies.
- Experience in community outreach, public relations, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse populations.
- Proven ability to organize and manage events and outreach campaigns.
- Familiarity with the Centurion community and its resources is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a local team.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the service area.
