About the Role
Our client is seeking an energetic and experienced Volunteer Engagement Manager to lead their volunteer program in Centurion . This role is pivotal in recruiting, training, managing, and retaining a dedicated base of volunteers who are essential to our client's operations. You will be responsible for creating an inspiring and supportive volunteer experience, ensuring our volunteers feel valued and are effectively utilized.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a passion for fostering community involvement and a commitment to the organization's mission. This is an on-site position, offering the opportunity to directly interact with volunteers and community members.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of all volunteer activities and programs.
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing volunteers.
- Foster a positive and engaging volunteer environment, addressing concerns and recognizing contributions.
- Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer needs and match volunteers to appropriate roles.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, including hours, assignments, and performance feedback.
- Proven experience in volunteer management, human resources, or a leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, motivate, and manage volunteers effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills .
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency with volunteer management software and standard office applications.
- A deep understanding of non-profit operations and community engagement.
