Pharmaceutical Research Scientist; Formulation

Our client is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Research Scientist specializing in formulation development to join their R&D department in Centurion . This role is crucial for the discovery and development of novel drug delivery systems and formulations that enhance therapeutic efficacy and patient compliance. You will work in a cutting-edge research environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and chemists to bring new pharmaceutical products from concept to benchtop.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences, with a proven track record in pre-formulation, formulation design, and optimization for various dosage forms.

• Design, develop, and optimize various pharmaceutical dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, injectables, topical preparations) with a focus on stability, bioavailability, and manufacturability.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies, including drug solubility, stability, compatibility, and solid-state characterization.
• Utilize laboratory techniques and equipment for formulation development, process optimization, and scale-up activities.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for research reports, development protocols, and regulatory submissions related to formulation.
• Collaborate effectively with analytical development, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure seamless project progression.
• Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature, industry trends, and new technologies in pharmaceutical formulation and drug delivery.

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Expertise in various dosage forms and drug delivery systems.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment used in formulation and characterization, such as dissolution apparatus, particle size analyzers, and rheometers.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ICH guidelines) relevant to drug product development.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to research challenges in Centurion .
