About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their manufacturing facility in Centurion . This role is essential for ensuring the consistent quality and safety of pharmaceutical products before they reach patients. You will perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, ensuring all meet stringent quality standards. Working within a dedicated quality assurance department, you will contribute to maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and upholding our client's commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical manufacturing in the Gauteng region.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, and spectroscopy.
- Document all testing activities accurately and meticulously in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal procedures.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and adherence to standards.
- Investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results and deviations, participating in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Contribute to method validation and transfer activities for new analytical procedures within the Centurion laboratory.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical quality control or analytical laboratory setting.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., HPLC, UV-Vis, dissolution testers).
- Familiarity with GMP regulations and quality control principles.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment in Centurion .
