Safety Officer

We are looking for a dedicated, qualified, and proactive Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting workplace safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a safe working environment for employees, clients, and visitors.

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation and company policies.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
• Monitor the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain safety records, reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and drills.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all operations.

• Relevant Safety Officer qualification or certification (e SAMTRAC, NOSA) .
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and procedures. Minimum of Grade C PSIRA Certificate. Previous experience in a safety-related role will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify risks and implement effective safety measures.
• Valid driver’s licence will be an advantage, if applicable.
