About the Role

Our client is looking for a visionary Lead Software Architect to join their established team in Centurion. This senior role is critical in defining the technical vision and architecture for the company's software products. You will guide development teams, establish technical standards, and ensure that our technology stack is robust, scalable, and future-proof. • Define and document the overall technical architecture for software applications and systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project requirements and long-term goals.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across the engineering department.
• Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical roadmaps.
• Conduct technical reviews, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies for architectural challenges.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a software architecture or lead technical role.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing complex, scalable, and high-availability systems.
• Deep understanding of various architectural styles (e.g., microservices, monolithic, event-driven).
• Proficiency with cloud-native architectures and services on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions.
