Senior Mobile Application Developer; iOS & Android

Our client, a leader in digital innovation and user experience, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Application Developer to join their dynamic team in Centurion, Gauteng, ZA
. This is an on-site role, providing an opportunity to collaborate closely with talented designers, product managers, and fellow engineers. You will be instrumental in developing and launching sophisticated native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms that reach millions of users. • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of native iOS and Android applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Swift/Objective-C for iOS and Kotlin/Java for Android.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into intuitive user interfaces.
• Integrate with backend services and APIs to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
• Optimize application performance for speed, responsiveness, and battery efficiency.
• Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across different devices and OS versions.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in mobile development technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy for mobile platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Demonstrable experience developing and launching successful native iOS applications using Swift and Xcode.
• Demonstrable experience developing and launching successful native Android applications using Kotlin/Java and Android Studio.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
• Experience with consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON data.
• Familiarity with mobile development lifecycle, including app store submission processes.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
