Aircraft Mechanic - Line Maintenance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join their line maintenance team in Centurion, Gauteng. This role is vital for ensuring the continued airworthiness of aircraft between flights, performing routine checks, inspections, and minor repairs. You will work closely with the maintenance control center and flight crews to ensure aircraft are ready for dispatch safely and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and possesses strong troubleshooting skills for a variety of aircraft types, contributing to the operational integrity and efficiency of the airline's fleet.

• Perform routine inspections, functional checks, and servicing of aircraft on the flight line.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical discrepancies identified by flight crew or through scheduled maintenance checks.
• Interpret technical manuals, maintenance directives, and engineering orders to perform repairs and modifications.
• Replace and repair aircraft components, including engines, landing gear, and airframe structures, as required.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately in the aircraft logbook and maintenance records system.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and aviation authority requirements.

• Certified Aircraft Mechanic with relevant qualifications and experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in line maintenance for commercial aircraft.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting aircraft technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, engines, and structures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often under time constraints.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass security background checks.
