About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Fleet Delivery Specialist to manage and execute deliveries for their diverse fleet operating out of Centurion . This role requires a blend of driving expertise and logistical coordination, ensuring that all fleet operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe transport of goods, optimizing routes, and maintaining the highest standards of service.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a vital role in the logistical success of our client's operations in the Centurion area and across Gauteng .
- Operate various fleet vehicles, including trucks and vans, for the transport of goods to designated locations.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency and adherence to schedules.
- Manage loading and unloading procedures, ensuring cargo is secure and handled appropriately.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any issues promptly to the fleet manager.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
- Liaise with customers and dispatch teams to provide updates and resolve any delivery-related queries.
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles operated (e.g., Code 10/C1 or higher).
- Proven track record of safe driving and experience in fleet operations or professional delivery.
- Good understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices in the Centurion region.
- Ability to use navigation tools and delivery management software effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and customer interaction.
