About the Role

Our client in Centurion is seeking a meticulous and proactive Aircraft Dispatcher to join their operational control center. This role is crucial for the planning and oversight of flight operations, ensuring all flights depart on schedule and operate within safety and regulatory guidelines. You will work closely with pilots, maintenance, and scheduling departments to manage flight plans, monitor weather conditions, and coordinate logistical requirements.

This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage complex logistical challenges in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the reliability and success of our client's aviation services.

• Develop and authorize flight plans, considering factors such as weather, aircraft performance, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor flight progress, weather conditions, and operational status throughout the flight.
• Communicate vital information to flight crews, including updates on routing, weather, and potential disruptions.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft are airworthy and prepared for flight.
• Manage operational disruptions, such as delays or cancellations, and implement contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and company operational procedures.

• Valid Aircraft Dispatcher certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in flight planning, dispatch, or airline operations control.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and navigation principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using flight planning software and operational databases.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in the Centurion operational hub.
