About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Flight Dispatcher to support flight operations in Centurion . You will play a crucial role in planning and monitoring flight routes, ensuring that all flights operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This involves analyzing weather conditions, operational requirements, and air traffic control directives to create optimal flight plans. You will work closely with pilots, operations control, and maintenance teams to manage deviations and provide support throughout the flight duration, contributing to the seamless execution of the airline's schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and file flight plans, considering factors such as weather, aircraft performance, fuel requirements, and air traffic control restrictions.
- Monitor flight progress from departure to arrival, providing real-time updates and support to flight crews.
- Analyze meteorological data and forecasts to assess potential hazards and make necessary adjustments to flight plans.
- Coordinate with pilots, ground operations, and maintenance personnel to manage flight schedule disruptions and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date flight logs and operational records.
- Valid Flight Dispatcher certification or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in flight planning, dispatch, or operations control.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and aircraft performance principles.
- Proficiency with flight planning software and weather analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding, time-sensitive environment.
