Logistics and Fleet Coordinator

About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and organized Logistics and Fleet Coordinator to manage their transportation operations in Centurion . This role involves overseeing a fleet of vehicles, optimizing delivery routes, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations. You will play a key part in maintaining the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the client's logistics division. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of fleet management principles within the Gauteng area.

• Coordinate daily fleet operations, including scheduling drivers and assigning routes.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and arrange for necessary servicing and repairs.
• Track fleet performance, fuel consumption, and driver behavior to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, permits, and licensing requirements.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for vehicle maintenance.
• Liaise with drivers, management, and external service providers to resolve logistical issues.

• Proven experience in logistics coordination or fleet management.
• Strong understanding of fleet maintenance practices and vehicle management systems.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage drivers and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the Centurion and wider Gauteng road network is advantageous.
