Fleet Manager - Transport Operations

Our client seeks a proactive and skilled Fleet Manager to oversee the operational efficiency and maintenance of their transport fleet in Centurion . This role is critical for minimizing downtime, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will manage a team of drivers and mechanics, coordinate maintenance schedules, and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance. This is a key leadership position requiring strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of logistics and vehicle management, contributing to the overall success and cost-effectiveness of the company's transportation division.

• Manage the daily operations of the company's transport fleet, including scheduling and routing.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
• Monitor fuel consumption and implement cost-saving measures.
• Ensure all drivers adhere to driving regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Manage fleet assets, including acquisition, disposal, and record-keeping.
• Lead and develop a team of drivers and maintenance personnel.

• Proven experience in fleet management or a similar logistics role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license;
  Code 14 or PDP advantageous.
• Ability to analyze data and implement strategic improvements.
