Fleet Operations Driver - Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a national leader in supply chain solutions, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Operations Driver to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng

• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety standards across Gauteng
  .
• Plan and execute daily delivery routes, ensuring timely arrival and departure from all scheduled stops.
• Coordinate with dispatch to manage unforeseen delays, rerouting as necessary to maintain service levels.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring operational readiness and reporting any defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate digital and paper logs, including delivery details, mileage, fuel consumption, and driver hour records.
• Assist in the coordination of vehicle maintenance schedules and minor repairs where applicable.
• Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
• Ensure all delivered goods are handled securely and reach their destination in pristine condition.
• Participate in regular fleet safety training and contribute to a culture of safety within the operations team.
• Contribute to route optimization efforts by providing feedback on traffic patterns and delivery efficiencies in the Centurion region.

• Valid Professional Driver's Permit (PDP) and a clean driving license (Code 10 or higher).
• A minimum of 4 years of verifiable professional driving experience, ideally within a fleet operations or logistics role in Centurion or Gauteng

• Demonstrated experience with route planning software and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and basic maintenance procedures.
• Exceptional knowledge of Centurion
  , Pretoria, Johannesburg, and the broader Gauteng road network.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
• A proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving operational challenges.
